be, our presence, and we will support them in that regard. We are committed to establishing a presence in Asia and are currently having discussions to see exactly how we go about establishing a presence over there.
Strategic Initiative 6: National Association of Realtors® (NAR) - Lastly, we will continue our participation and support of NAR. I
just returned from the NAR meetings in New Orleans and it is very apparent that SIOR is a “favored child” of NAR. NAR leadership listens when SIORs speak, and our thoughts and opinions are certainly valued and appreciated. NAR can certainly help us in the
achievement of our strategic goals.
Leadership Committed to SIOR
I can assure each and every one of you that your leadership team, as well as the entire Washington, DC headquarters staff, are committed to making 2011 the best year possible for SIOR. You will see a listing on Page 6 of your 2011 leadership team, along with our
contact information. I would invite anyone who has thoughts, comments or concerns about our efforts or the direction in which SIOR
is going to please contact me at dzimmer@zimmercos.com.
Thanks to Lynn
I would be remiss if I did not again publicly thank Lynn E. Reich, SIOR, CCIM, FRICS, for her dedication and involvement over the
past several years. Her commitment to SIOR and her passion for the real estate business has resulted in the improvement of many
programs and has revitalized the SIOR community. There is a new sense of excitement at SIOR among its members and is due largely
in part to her “Lynnergy.”
I personally commit to the entire SIOR membership to carry her successes into the New Year.
