David T. Houston, SIOR, CRS, FRICS, passed away in October.
Houston was an SIOR Past President, SIOR Foundation Past
President, and SIOR Member since 1976. His enormous contributions to SIOR and its members, both personally and
professionally, will long be remembered and appreciated.
L. Boyd Higgins, SIOR, Industrial Specialist with Colliers
Seeley International in Los Angeles, passed away October
15. Boyd, who served as SIOR President in 1984, had
been a member of SIOR since 1967. He will be remembered fondly by his friends and colleagues at SIOR.
Michael C. O’Brien, Jr., SIOR retired, of M.C. O’Brien, Inc. in
Brooklyn, NY, passed away in mid June. Michael, a 46-year
member of SIOR, was a member of the SIOR Legacy Circle.
Kathy Ivins, SIOR, Senior Vice President of Thalhimer,
passed away this July after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Kathy was a member of SIOR since 2007.
John S. Hunsinger, SIOR, of John Hunsinger & Company
and a prominent SIOR from Georgia, passed away
in October. He was a member of SIOR since 1966.
