In June, members, along with friends and family of the SIOR
Connecticut Chapter, held a Habitat for Humanity work party to
frame a new home being constructed in Bridgeport, CT. This is the
first home being constructed under Habitat for Humanity’s new veterans program, “Habitat for Heroes.” The program benefits veterans
returning from active duty.
SIOR Members and guests attended the Inter-Chapter clay sporting event.
In May the SIOR Chicago, Indiana & Kentucky and Michigan
Chapters attended an event on the sporting clay course at Deer Creek
Hunt Club in Three Oaks, MI. Wells Fargo sponsored the 2nd Annual
Sporting Clays event.

The SIOR Chicago Chapter sponsored an event in June at Seven Ten
Lounge in Lincoln Park for the Young Professionals and prospective
members. The networking event included some friendly competition
along with food and drinks. Dan Smolensky, SIOR, organized the
event and spoke with the guests about the benefits of the organization
and how it has assisted in the growth of his company.

The SIOR Chicago Chapter held their annual golf outing in July at
Cantigny Golf Club in Wheaton, IL. More than 120 members and
guests enjoyed the event.

SIOR Connecticut Chapter was delighted to sponsor a charity concert at the Fairfield Theater Company directly benefiting Habitat
for Heroes in Fairfield, CT. An evening of entertainment, which
included a silent auction, music by Roomful of Blues, and reception, was enjoyed by all. The Chapter is proud to report that $16,837
was raised from this event, which will directly benefit the Habitat
