This fall at the World Conference we have some great changes to present. Our new website and members’ only section will be officially unveiled, and you won’t want to miss it! As you know, SIOR staff and certain SIOR member volunteers, led by Angela West, SIOR, MCR, and Geoffrey Kasselman, SIOR, LEED AP, have been working hard to redesign the website and make it more timely, efficient and user-friendly. The new site is modern, easy-to-navigate, and provides many new features, such as an advanced online member directory, Find a Member where you can locate members on a map, and new customizable member profiles where you can market yourself in new ways. Many of the things that you relied on staff to do (relating to your membership) will now be accomplished at the click of a mouse by you, when you want it.

Not only will we be unveiling the sites, but we will be holding critical and timely roundtables and information sessions to help you navigate and utilize the new site to your advantage. We believe it will become one of the most valuable tools you can use as an SIOR. The Leadership team and Staff are excited about the improvements to member services and will continue to look for ways to enhance your membership and leverage the value proposition of your membership

I have had, on more than one occasion, members and non-members alike approach me and say how fantastic so many of our courses and seminars are. I want to acknowledge the work of Faculty Committee for their tireless efforts to teach these courses and deliver to our members and prospective members quality educational offerings.

Thank You

The unsung heroes of the organization are the Washington staff. Over the past years, I have really come to appreciate the work they do. It is not easy making 3,000 Type A real estate brokers happy, but they do a wonderful job and always with smiles on their faces.

As Lynn Reich and Paul Kluck leave the Executive Committee, I want to acknowledge their work and contributions. Their mark on SIOR will remain for years to come.

And I want to welcome your incoming SIOR President, Geoff Kreusser, who will be taking the reins in October. Rounding out the leadership team will include Terry E. Smith, Mike Hillis, Del Markward and Joe Steffner. Having worked with each of these people on numerous projects and committees in the past, I can assure you that the organization is in good hands for years to come.
