Virginia Chapter Meets for Annual
Two-Day Meeting
The SIOR Virginia Chapter held its annual two-day meeting in
February at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, Virginia.
More than 55 members, guests, and sponsors enjoyed the social
and professional development activities. Special guests included
2011 SIOR President, David Zimmer, SIOR, FRICS, and SIOR
Regional Vice President, Patrick Sentner, SIOR. Dawn Griggs,
SIOR, held a reception at her home on Thursday evening.

In February, the SIOR Western Pennsylvania Chapter hosted its
Annual Awards Luncheon, honoring the region’s top brokers
and deals, at The Rivers Club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. More
than 100 members and industry professionals attended this year’s
event. Jeffrey Ackerman, SIOR; Robert Cornell, SIOR; Jeremy
Kronman, SIOR, CCIM; Rick O’Brien, SIOR; Louis Oliva, SIOR,
CCIM, and Patrick Sentner, SIOR each won awards this year.

In February, the SIOR Colorado Chapter and the SIOR Foundation
awarded their 2010-2011 scholarships at the Chapter’s monthly
luncheon at the Denver Country Club in Denver, Colorado.
Approximately 65 members, guests, and sponsors attended the
event where Robert Gillis and Jacob Hallauer each received a
$2,000 scholarship in recognition of their academic achievements.
Gillis graduated from Colorado State University in 2003 with
a degree in Marketing and Spanish. He is currently a student at
the University of Colorado pursuing his MBA in Real Estate and
Finance. Hallauer graduated from Colorado State University in
2009 with a B.S. in Business, Administration, Real Rstate and
Financial Planning and a Minor in Construction Management.
He is currently pursuing his M.S. in Real Estate and Construction
Management at the University of Denver.

and Prospective Members Networking Event

The Philadelphia Chapter of SIOR, along with its sponsor, Majestic
Realty Co., hosted the Young Professionals Majestic Bethlehem
Center and Intermodal Yard Bus Tour on Thursday, April 7, 2011
in Bethlehem, PA. Following brief networking and introductions
by Majestic Realty Co., Lehigh Valley Rail Management (LVRM),
and local economic development authorities, about 40 attendees
and SIOR prospective members were taken on a guided bus tour
of the premises, followed by cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres at the
St. James Gate Irish Pub & Carvery in the Sands Casino. A local
news crew was on-site to capture the event, which was televised
