Foundation on Track
to Deliver in 2012
During the past year, your Foundation has come a long way in redefining itself and insuring we have a healthy balance sheet combined
with great strategies to move forward with our Mission.
I want to acknowledge Past President Allen Gump for guiding
our Trustees through challenging times, which included making
some difficult decisions on staffing and helping us create a viable
operating structure. Thanks, Allen, for your steadfast efforts that
have resulted in a very positive impact on our future.
As we move into 2012 with a robust fundraising strategy, I am
delighted to highlight some important initiatives and early success.
First, under the leadership of Michael Ohmes, SIOR, CCIM, we
conducted a highly successful Phonathon in early December. We
have almost reached our goal – over 82 percent of pledges have
been collected. Please help us continue our work by fulfilling your
pledge and achieve the best results in the last number of years.
Plans are well underway for our 2012 Great Escape Giveaway
which will be a Foundation highlight at the SIOR Spring World
Conference in Miami in May. I look forward to seeing you there,
and most importantly, selling you tickets on some truly awesome
vacation destinations. More details will come out next month highlighting this year’s program.
Your Trustees work tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds
to grow our Corpus and pursue a number of important education
initiatives. Below I am delighted on behalf of all the trustees to
demonstrate the great requests we were able to fund during 2011.
